My paintings explore heritage, memory, and the places that live inside us. Lush oil on wood, tropical color, and fluid brushwork evoke the emotional landscapes of identity. Prints now available — bring a piece of story and soul into your space.
When I was very young, my family went to see Les Miserables in Hollywood, and this is what made me gay. I am only partially joking. Visiting Los Angeles for any reason (as a kid growing up in Orange County) felt so glamorous, edgy, and important. I always responded to New York in movies, but Los Angeles, Hollywood Boulevard especially, captured my 80's kid imagination as well. Living in Hollywood as an adult, amid the glitter and sleaze inspired my entre into oil painting. LA is in my DNA, and this painting is my creative interpretation.
